Web is more and more becoming an ideal platform for sharing information,doing business,providing services to the public and much much more.But what is web ? Well,web is one of the many “services” provided on top of the Internet.I said “service” because that is what some protocols are that do specifics things on the Internet are called.For example the protocol for exchanging files on the Internet is called FTP ( File Transfer Protocol ).This is another service offer on Internet,sharing files back and forth between entities ( users ).Most of the people confuse the term Web with the term Internet.As you might have understood from above,web and Internet are two totally different things.Web is comprised of 2 main protocols : HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) and HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), this is a markup language that defines elements of a web page.HTTP is the language machines use in order to exchange files that are read by the browser between the client and the server.On the other hand,HTML is a mark-up language that is used to describe the elements of a web page such as the title of the web page,the paragraphs,tables,columns and rows,everything that can be display by a browser.

Do design web pages and present them to the user you need to know well HTML and CSS.Wait ,what is CSS ? CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets.I will go into detail what that means,but CSS is used to style elements of a web page such as those we mentioned before (tables,titles,paragraphs etc).In order to make a beautiful web page you need graphics that are produced using a graphic editor.One of the most popular graphic editors that is considered the industry standard for web designers is the Adobe Photoshop.You can create banners,logos,gradients and anything with Photoshop.In order to design  eye-catching website you should have solid skills in Photoshop or another graphic editor.

Web can also be used as platform to develop powerful application such Online Education Systems,E-mail systems,remote management system and other infinite possible things.One programming language that is very popular in the web is PHP.We will lean in the future what these languages look like and we will get our hands dirty using them.If everything goes fine,I plan on doing video tutorials that will make learning concepts even better.
