Home Computer-Network Setup

If you have many compuers,then installing a network to make them able to communicate would be a fantastic idea ! You can use your home network to share documents between your computer and your laptop,to watch your favorite movies in your HD tv,you can use the network to play multiplayer games,in short you can use your home network for many things and you will benefit a lot.
The tools needed to setup a home computer network
1) NIC ( Network Interface Card ),this is the device in the back of your computer where the network cable attaches to.If you already have this card built-in in your computer than you don’t need to buy a new one.But if you don’t have one preinstalled then you can buy one in computer shops for as cheap as $10.If your computer doesn’t have a NIC prebuilt into it and you know how to take a computer apart and operate inside it,then you just need to open the computer case and install one,just plug it into a PCI slot and that’s it.You can video tutorials on youtube on how to do it.
2) The second device you want to buy is called the Switch.This is like a board with multiple ports in it that cables coming from computers attach into.Every networking device be it a computer,a laptop,a printer,a scanner might be attached into the switch.Each device connected to the switch is able to communicate with the other devices connected to the switch.Switches can cost between $15 to thousands of dollars.The $15 switch can the job for a home network.
3) The third thing and the last one is network cable.You need cables to connect every device to the switch.If you have 3 computers then you need 3 cable segmentts in order to connect each of them to the switch.You can buy prepared cables but if you know how to make them,you can prepare them yourself.Cables are cheap and can be found pretty much in all computer shops.

If  you want to share your Internet connection with the home network you created ,you just need to plug the cable that Internet comes from into the switch.Then all the other devices will be able to draw Internet from the  cable attached.

And at this point your Home Computer Network is done.You can use this very method to install an Internet Cafe network.
